| Donation of $9,500 to Pittsford Food Cupboard
| Mike Cross presents a check for $9,500 to Daniel Traina, Executive Director of Pittsford Food Cupboard |
Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the Pittsford Lacrosse boys and girls youth families, PCLI donated $9,500 to Pittsford Food Cupboard in August!
Once our spring season was canceled due to COVID-19, we offered our families the option of either receiving a refund of their registration fees, or to donate their fees to the Pittsford Food Cupboard. Not surprisingly, the vast majority of families chose to donate their fees.
The photo is me presenting a check for $9,500 to Daniel Traina, Executive Director of Pittsford Food Cupboard (masked, of course!).
Daniel gave me a tour of the facility (located at 3800 Monroe Avenue, Pittsford Business Park, Suite 26 Pittsford, NY 14534) and told me more about what they do. One thing I learned is that they serve not only Pittsford, but also East Rochester, Penfield, Brighton, Mendon, Honeoye Falls, and parts of the City of Rochester. Needless to say, they provide a valuable service, especially at this time.
I encourage you to learn more about Pittsford Food Cupboard, and to donate or volunteer. Visit their website at http://www.pittsfordfoodcupboard.net/.
A HUUUUUGE THANK YOU TO ALL FAMILIES THAT DONATED!
